Old News, a new site-specific sculpture by Ram Katzir, has been unveiled at De Pershal on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal in the heart of Amsterdam.
The work responds to the history of the street, once known as Amsterdam’s Journalists’ Street, and to De Pershal’s origins as the printing plant of De Telegraaf. Drawing on the figure of the newspaper boy, the sculpture brings a historical messenger into the present.
